Châtel (1053-2430 m) is an old French Savoyard village where you can ski during wintertime and take the most beautiful and lovely hiking trips during summer. Châtel is centrally located in one of the largest ski areas of the world: Les Portes du Soleil (650 km of slopes) and borders Switzerland. Le numéro 5, as our chalet is called, is located in the lee of the lively village centre, a seven minute walk. The chalet, bought by our grandmother over 35 years ago, we now like to share with others. For a detailed description, take a look at 'The chalet'.
